Two possible causes: the cooktop is hooked up incorrectly, or its supply voltage is out of range. Bosch sends both to an electrician or support.
Model compatibility: Bosch reuses codes across series and model years, so E9011 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
E9011 means the cooktop is connected incorrectly or its supply voltage is outside the normal operating range.
On Bosch’s induction cooktop list, E9011 is grouped with U400, and the entry allows more than one cause. There are two. The voltage reaching the cooktop may be outside the normal operating range, or the cooktop may not be connected correctly.
If the supply voltage is the cause
Induction cooktops expect the voltage they receive to stay within a defined range. For a supply that falls outside it, Bosch advises contacting the electrical utility provider or Bosch Customer Support. The list gives no reset an owner can do for this half of the fault.
If the connection is the cause
Here Bosch says to disconnect the cooktop from the main power source and connect it again as the circuit diagram shows. A circuit diagram is the wiring drawing of the appliance, showing which supply conductor goes to which terminal.
This is electrician work. Reconnecting the cooktop means handling its electrical connection, so do not attempt it yourself. When the cooktop has just been installed or moved, start with whoever installed it.
Notes worth taking for the electrician or technician
The date E9011 first appeared, and whether an installation, remodel or work on the panel came before it.
Any flickering or dimming of lights or other appliances at the same time.
Whether the code shows the instant the breaker goes on or only after a zone starts running.
With these facts, a supply problem can be told from a wiring problem without guesswork.
Neighbouring power codes
Bosch treats E9000, E9010 and U400 on electric cooktops as voltage-only faults. Only the induction entry joins U400 to E9011 with both causes. The slide-in range list reads its own E9011 purely as a wrong connection.
E7010 looks alike but concerns the network or hood link, not the power wiring.
