Error code E032
Appliance Oven
Quick answer

E032 means several keys read as pressed for 10 seconds. Clear and dry the panel, then reset the breaker.

Model compatibility: Bosch reuses codes across series and model years, so E032 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.

Plain language

What this code means

E032 on a Bosch wall oven means multiple keys were registered as pressed continuously for 10 seconds.

When the code appears

The display reads E032 after a Bosch 300, 500 or 800 Series wall oven registers multiple keys being pressed for 10 seconds. In the service manual this is called “continuous pushing of keys.”

Possible outside causes

Keys held in combination can mean that something covers them, or that the board behind them reports presses nobody made. The manual does not tell the two apart. The first possibility is quick to rule out, though:

  1. Take anything off the front of the control panel, such as a dish towel draped over it, a tray leaning on it or small hands.
  2. With the oven off, dry the panel so that no water or grease film joins the keys.
  3. Turn the breaker off for 30 seconds and back on, the reset used in Bosch’s procedures.
  4. Use the oven as usual and see if E032 appears with nothing touching the panel.

Persisting E032

If a clean panel nobody touches still brings up E032, the fault is in the user interface. That assembly comes off from the front when the oven has been slid a few inches out of the cabinet, and the manual treats the board with its chassis as a single replaceable unit. Hand this over to service.

Does E032 point to misuse?

No. The code just reports what the keypad electronics sensed, which is more than one key held for 10 seconds.

Codes to tell apart

  • E011: the one-key counterpart of this fault
  • E11: the owner-page code for misbehaving touch keys, possibly due to condensation
  • E014: specifically the ON/OFF key failing
